Fusion Belly Dance

A contemporary form of belly dance that incorporates elements from various dance styles, such as traditional Middle Eastern belly dance, flamenco, classic Indian dances, hip hop, among others. By fusing different elements from various dances, we create a unique and eclectic dance form that emphasizes expressiveness, and creativity.

Traditional Belly Dance

Belly dance, also known as Raqs Sharki, is an ancient dance, which is particularly recognized for its subtle and feminine movements. The main focus is on the hips and the most common props include the silk veil, silk fans, finger cymbals, and many more. It has its origins in the Middle East. Belly dance is distinguished by colorful clothing and usually a sensual and happy attitude.

Fat Chance Belly Dance Style

FCBD® Style was created by Carolena Nericcio in San Francisco, California in 1987. The movements were inspired by traditional dances from the Middle East, North Africa, Spain, and India. FCBD® Style is also characterized by its improvisation technique, which uses a vocabulary of specific movements and signals that allows dancers to communicate through gestures and eye contact when dancing together.

Siren Project Format

The Siren Project Format is the mix between the Fat Chance Belly Dance® format along with flamenco. This variant of FCBD®, created by Katarzyna Lidia and Agata Zakrzewska, stands out for adding the use of the flamenco fan and the shawl (Mantón), which are traditionally used in flamenco. By combining the stylization of these two beautiful forms of art, the result is simply spectacular and visually stunning!

Ana (Romania)

"A dedicated teacher, a very nice person, a professional dancer! The workshop I took part in was very well organized, and planned in detail.
I wanted to take part in this workshop after watching a video with Tracy dancing with a fan. The naturalness, genuiness and her joy when she dances conquered me! Fat Chance Belly Dance with Flamenco Fan looks so easy when you watch her dance!"
